FORMATION OF OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION

In 2012, some alumni students of the school conceived the idea of forming an Old Students Association like other schools in Ikorodu.

The maiden meeting was convened at the Ikorodu Town Hall. In attendance were the underlisted founding members: Grammarian Ishaq Abiodun Bisiriyu, Grammarian Olayinka Sulaimon Hassan, Grammarian Ibrahim Mustapha, Grammarian Egunjobi  Ibrahim Abisoye, Grammarian Abiodun Shobowale, Grammarian David Lawani, Grammarian Showemimo Kazeem, Grammarian Rabiu.

Subsequent meetings were later held at the school premises which birthed ” Ikogramsolds” with about 24 members in attendance.

Grammarian Saheed Olowonisaye, the Director Economic Planning Department, Lagos State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB), became the first President of the ” Caretaker Committee” elected to paddle the affairs of the Association. The incumbent president of the Association is Grammarian Engineer Festus Mobolaji Idowu, the Management staff of NNPC Exploration & Production Limited, was sworn in on May 31^st 2025.

The association was registered in 2016 by the Caretaker Committee lead by Grammarian Adewale Saka as the Chairman of an Interim Committee. With this, the Association immediately instituted a governance framework ensuring that the association is run in line with extant laws as contained in CAMA 2023 (as amended) being a fully registered Association with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Consequently, the executive management (exco) is headed by National President while the Board of trustees (BOT) is headed by Chairman and has produced five National Presidents and two BOT Chairmen respectively, with their respective tenures, as follows:

For the two Chairmen of the Board of Trustees so far produced;  the first BOT was Kamal Adewale Saka (2016 -2024) and the current one is Lukman Omotayo Rufai (2024 – ?).
